MSN Quality Ranking (and mind reading)

MSN has apparently developed the ability to read people’s minds and are now assessing the content of the ad and landing page in relation to the user’s likely intent.

So if you are marketing an ipod don’t bid on the term apple b/c you probably will get penalized….(i’m making that part up).

Basically they are following Google’s lead of using a Quality score to effect positioning and bid prices. We don’t believe it will effect our campaigns as our clients (mostly) have strong landing pages and our copy is top notch.
