We Predicted Right, Could comScore Be Wrong?

Written by Angie | January 31st, 2008 |

Our data is finally in and we’re pleased to report that our prediction was true. Monday, December 17, 2007 was the highest sales day for our ecommerce clients. Drawing on our findings from the 2006 holiday shopping season, we forecasted that the Monday two weeks before Christmas would have the highest sales due to it being the last day for guaranteed shipping.

Google Copies MSN’s Demo Targeting

Written by PPC Handy Man | January 28th, 2008 |

Google just announced a new demographic targeting system which, in the PPC HandyMan’s opinion, is a copy of Microsoft’s demographic targeting. One big difference, Google is just launching this for content targeting at present, not yet for search.

Stop Telling Me Where To Go! A Humble Request to AOL

Written by PPC Handy Man | January 23rd, 2008 |

While working from home today, I attempted to log on to AOL’s popular AIM program in order to discuss ongoing business with my colleagues at work. Over the past few weeks, every time I have started AOL, a message from the administrators has told me to upgrade. Saving Money by Giving Away Food

Written by PPC Handy Man | January 14th, 2008 |

The LA Times recently covered the foodie culture at Google’s offices, which made me reflect upon the peculiar savings which result from giving away food. Back in 1997, this behavior was a bit more common among dotcom boom companies than traditional businesses. In the early days of the internet, it was easy to categorize this as ingénue largesse, in the same category as Nerf wars, company dogs, and stock-as-pay.
