Quick Reviews of Encore Las Vegas and the HTC Touch Pro

Written by Alex | December 29th, 2008 |

So quick reviews of recent comings and goings.

1. Encore Las Vegas: Everything it was promised to be and more. Of course attending the grand opening celebration didn’t hurt. The rooms are very well appointed and are “all-suites” meaning that it is similar to the Wynn rooms but with a partial wall to make it two rooms. The food was top notch and everything in the hotel is done to the nines. Great layout of the casino and connected to the Wynn by an esplanade gives the whole complex a huge feel. It feels even a little more exclusive than the Wynn. I placed the first bet ever on 18 at 8pm Las Vegas time on the 22nd but alas did not win.

Virtual Food Drive Results

Written by Angie | December 29th, 2008 |

We’re pleased to report that the Life on Avenue Z Virtual Food Drive surpassed all goals! Individuals from around the country donated a total of 3,670 pounds of food along with $600, which equates to 600 pounds of food, conservatively. Check out the official virtual food drive results. The original one-ton goal was quickly met by one extremely generous couple. Beth Z then upped the ante to two tons (4,000 pounds). This second goal was easily reached with the monetary donation.

Google Summit 2008 Recap

Written by Angie | December 8th, 2008 |

Curious about what went on at the Google WOAC/GAAC Summit held at their Mountain View, CA headquarters last month? No need to endure my bland storytelling. Check out this fantastic hip hop video by my new friend Paul Chastain and fellow WOAC at Just1. I even have a fleeting cameo–don’t blink around second 36 or you’ll miss it–that’s me discussing our GWO case study. Next year I plan to have a longer spot as a background dancer. Just wait for my sweet moves!
