Tip of the Week: How to Easily Share Docs on Twitter
Just because Twitter only permits a limited number of characters doesn’t mean that you can’t share larger documents with your tweeting brethren. TwitDoc allows you to upload a variety of different file types—Word, Excel, PPT, PDF, PS, Open Office and text—and dole out to your followers through a shortened URL. Files sizes can be up to 15 MB maximum. Additionally, you can upload and share graphics and photos up to 10 MB and videos up to 25 MB.
TwitDoc is an excellent method for pushing out press releases, flyers and other documents for which you’d like to retain the original format. TwitDoc can (and should, for SEO purposes) be used in conjunction with a HTML page on your site of the same information.
As an aside, while doing a bit of research for this post, I discovered that TwitDoc is a neighbor of Location3, operating out of Littleton, CO. Rocky Mountain, represent!
